Monthly Meeting Notices

Currently OMCPA is sending monthly notices to over 150 pharmacists in the area.  As you can see, OMCPA notices will now be posted on the internet.  As a result, monthly notices will only be sent by mail to those pharmacists who have recently attended meetings, pharmacists of Marshall and Ohio county, and any other pharmacists who requests meeting notices continue to be sent by mail. 

Information regarding OMCPA monthly meetings and continuing education will be available via this website.  Hopefully this will allow for more efficient and cost effective meeting announcements.  Continuing education will be posted in advance to allow pharmacists to plan for upcoming meetings and continuing education.  In addition, it will allow for members of the association to post relevant information on the site.

September 2005 Meeting Notice

Dear Fellow Pharmacists:

 Over the past two years, I have enjoyed serving as your OMCPA president and look forward to another year of monthly meetings and continuing education.  In the upcoming year, I would like for all of us to focus on introducing and encouraging recent graduates and pharmacy students to become active in the association, along with encouraging our veteran pharmacists to attend and enjoy the monthly meetings. 

Please make OMCPA a professional priority!   

On Thursday, September 28th, William Douglass, Executive Director of the West Virginia Board of Pharmacy will provide an “Update on West Virginia Pharmacy Law 2006.”  In addition, WVU School Of Pharmacy, Dean Pat Chase will be attending to introduce herself to area pharmacists!!!  The meeting will be held at Wheeling Island Conference Center with cash bar at 7:00, dinner at 7:30, Dean Chase will introduce herself at 8:00, and a presentation by William Douglass at 8:15. 
Please RSVP by Tuesday, September 26th!!!

 On Thursday, October 26th, Kent Hunter, RPh will present continuing education on “New Diabetes Treatment Options ~ A Discussion on Inhaled Insulins.”  Location to be determined!  A second announcement will be mailed in October!

 Both of these topics are timely and relevant to pharmacy practice
and I encourage everyone to make both of these meetings a priority!
