Pharmacists Association
The Ohio-Marshall County Pharmacist Association is a regional pharmacist association representing pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy students throughout the Ohio Valley.
The mission of this organization is to promote the profession of pharmacy in the community.
The goals of OMCPA are to:
Provide a forum for interaction and communication
Provide continuing education
Promote the integrity and pride of the profession
Be a political voice for pharmacy
Be an advocate for patient care
Serve as a liaison to other healthcare organization
OMCPA meets on a monthly basis for an evening of professional interaction and continuing education.
In addition to monthly meetings, the association proudly sponsors the largest attended pharmacy seminar in West Virginia.
The Ohio-Marshall County Pharmacist Association has established a scholarship fund to aid pharmacy students sat West Virginia University. Each year, OMCPA sends a contribution to be administered by the School of Pharmacy and is presented by the association at the WVU School of Pharmacy Honors Program in the spring.
