Educational Seminars
Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Seminars are held monthly to better
educate patients beginning hormone replacement therapy or those seeking more
information regarding hormone replacement therapy. The presentation
will include a review of hormones and their functions, provide an
understanding of pre-, peri-, and post-menopause, and discuss environmental
factors which affect hormone levels. In addition, it will help
patients to better understand the "new" approach to hormone replacement
therapy, bio-identical hormone therapy, and the role of saliva testing in
more appropriately initiating therapy. Patients will have opportunity
to ask questions and direct the discussion.

research, now available on an individual patient level, allowing for

Individual Consults
Following patients attending an educational seminar and completing saliva
testing, Moundsville Pharmacy is available to meet with patients regarding
individualized hormone replacement therapy. An individual consult
includes a discussion of patient history, a review of current symptoms, a
discussion of salivary hormone levels, how symptoms and levels relate, and
an opportunity for patients to ask questions. Moundsville Pharmacy has
the knowledge and experience to discuss your symptoms, salivary hormone
levels, and specific questions regarding bio-identical hormone replacement

Bio-Identical Hormone
Compounding
At this time, bio-identical hormone replacement products are limited.
As a result, a compounded prescription must be prepared by your compounding
pharmacist which do require a prescription from you doctor.
Bio-identical hormones can be prepared in a variety of dosage forms
including creams, gels, capsules, suppositories, etc. Moundsville
Pharmacy has the knowledge and experience to work with you and you physician
regarding dose and dosage form selection of compounded prescriptions.
Follow-Up and Monitoring
Following the initiation of
bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, Moundsville Pharmacy will continue to
work with you and your physician regarding hormone replacement therapy
monitoring, therapy re-evaluation, and addressing any questions or concerns you
